This Privacy Policy explains how Ecom Labz LLC ("Cilveras", "we", "us"), the operator of thecilveras.com, collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our website, place an order or contact us. Our store is hosted on Shopify, which processes data on our behalf as described below.

1. Information we collect

  • Order and account information: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, the items you purchase and your payment details. Card numbers are processed directly by our payment processors and are never stored by us.
  • Communications: the content of emails, contact-form messages and calls you exchange with us, including order numbers and photos you send for returns or warranty claims.
  • Browsing information: device type, browser, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, referring site and your interactions with our site and emails, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you have subscribed to our newsletter or text messages and how you interact with them.

2. How we use your information

  • To process and ship your orders, send order and shipping confirmations, and provide customer support, returns and warranty service.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks and misuse of our site.
  • To send marketing emails if you have subscribed; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. If you opt in to text messages at checkout, you can stop them at any time by replying STOP.
  • To understand how our site is used and to improve it, using analytics tools.
  • To show you advertising for our products on other websites and platforms, and to measure the performance of our advertising.
  • To comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting record-keeping.

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run the store, and only what they need:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders and payments.
  • Payment processors and fraud-prevention services.
  • Our fulfillment center in Cromwell, Connecticut, and USPS, which receive the information needed to pack and deliver your order.
  • Email and messaging service providers used to send order updates and newsletters.
  • Analytics and advertising partners, including Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta, which use cookies and similar technologies to measure site usage and advertising performance. These partners may also use the information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
  • Professional advisers and public authorities when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies (needed for the cart and checkout), analytics cookies and advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of targeted advertising through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer, or email us. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law. Disabling cookies may affect parts of the site, such as the cart.

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to opt out of targeted advertising or of the sharing of your information for that purpose, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, email info@thecilveras.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming details of a recent order, and respond within the time required by applicable law, generally within 45 days. You may authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf.

6. Data retention

We keep order records for as long as needed to provide our services, handle returns and warranty claims, and meet tax, accounting and legal requirements. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe; browsing data is kept for the periods set by our analytics providers.

7. Security

Our site uses HTTPS encryption, and payments are handled by PCI DSS-compliant processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and limit access to those who need it to serve you.

8. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States by us and by our service providers.
